INTRODUCING

Welcome to the past.

Here at Vinetto, we're always looking for new ways to bring you great guitars that you can really connect with. So this time, we decided that the best way to do something new was to do something old.

The Artifact™ project is something that's been kicked around here for quite awhile, after countless requests for authentically aged guitars from customers and dealers alike. As many of you already know, when if comes to guitars like this, we've got a little experience in making them look and feel really right. So why didn't we do this sooner? As he explains it, Vince wanted to make sure we concentrated on establishing our reputation for the kind of quality you find in the Legato, the Deuce and the other Vinetto models first, so that you'd know the level of quality we build into every guitar, no matter what they look like.

Even though we've got a couple of decades of solid, hands-on experience with vintage guitars behind us, we've invested countless hours of new historical R&D on exact body shapes and neck profiles in the past few months. We've taken this new work plus all of Vince's old research and developed new ways to translate the amazing feel of the finest vintage pieces into modern production techniques. The result is accurate vintage shapes and specs with precision tolerances where they count... necks fits, hardware alignment and precision neck fabrication. So you get the best of both worlds.

Then we take the technology and blend it with the artform that Vince is well known for, and the result is a new series of true modern classics.

We wanted to make sure that these guitars are the best they can be, so we're still perfecting the details. We're keeping the pictures of the guitars in a "veil of mystery" for now. (If you can't wait to know what they'll really look like, just pick up any good photo book of vintage classics and you'll get a pretty good idea.)

Your responses and orders have helped us decide which models and styles to concentrate on and ship first. Of course, we're happy to have you visit any one of our dealers to place an order. We're adding new dealers all the time, so if you can't find a Vinetto retailer near you, please contact us so we can hook you up.

Features of The Artifact

     • Authentic body shapes, contours, woods, hardware styles and other appointments as inspired by the classic Fullerton, California styles of the 1950's and 60's. All bodies and necks are made from our own stock of woods to our exact specs. Body tonewoods are specially selected and graded for weight and tonality, and made using our proprietary and thoroughly researched plans and dimensions, assuring the best and most accurate shapes available today. Unlike many vintage pieces with less than ideal tolerances, all neck pockets and necks are precision machined for a tight fit neck/body fit to maximize vibrational unity thoughout the entire guitar.

     • Period-correct neck shape profiles and constructions featuring a modernized 9.5" fingerboard radius for easier string bending and improved playability. Built to our own exclusive specifications and shapes, all necks utilize 100% quartersawn eastern hard maple neck blanks for stability and feature the exclusive Vinetto peghead profile and vintage-style tuners.

     • Extremely thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish, available in a variety of vintage colors. These are the same vintage colors and formulas we've been using for other guitars since the 90's.

     • Selected vintage-style pickups wound to exacting specs from todays' best boutique winders, including Jason Lollar, Lindy Fralin and others.

     • Each guitar is individually and artistically aged and cosmetically distressed by Vince Cunetto. Vince's experience and attention to detail assures that each guitar is painstakingly crafted for ultimate tone and playability with unmatched authenticity in aged vintage look and feel.
